As a firm Select Advice Financial Planning is committed to giving and supporting charities particularly for underprivileged children. Children are our future and our firm and staff are committed to an ongoing program of both financial and personal support for the charities we have chosen.
We have both a financial and hands on approach to supporting both private and public charities locally and also in Denpasar, Indonesia.
We feel privileged to be part of these programs as the gift of giving far outweighs any monetary contributions or personal time we spend in support of these various charities.
Yaysan Orphanage, Denpasar, Bali Indonesia.
Our Managing Director, Tony Pati (pictured above during his recent visit to the Yaysan Orphanage) has been personally visiting and supporting the children of Yaysan Orphanage for the past 4 years. During his visits, he spends time with the children teaching some English and also supplying; food, clothing, soaps, shampoos, pens, books, medication and other necessities.
Tony is very committed to helping these Orphan children and is working on developing some educational support in the hope it will give them better chance in life.
The Smith Family
A charity helping disadvantaged children to get the most out of their education. Our Office Manager Jodie McGregor has been involved with The Smith Family for 12 years helping with their Christmas toy and gift delivery distribution. This includes time spent sorting, packaging and labelling toy and book packs for distribution to families. Then on delivery day, delivering packs to children in these allocated homes throughout Melbourne.
Salvos
Jodie also supports the Salvos by door knocking and raising funds in local neighbourhood for the last 11 years. She also works with a local food van on a volunteer roster basis, to serve ready prepared hot meals to the homeless in our local council area and at times in the Melbourne CBD. Also when time permits Jodie is also involved in collecting donations of food, blankets and clothing from local businesses and community members and distribution of those items to the homeless people on the streets of Melbourne CBD.
Fundraising Events
Our firm comprising Eric, Tony & Jodie also take part in various other fundraising activities during the year including walks, runs & collections for causes such a cancer research, support and awareness for breast cancer & community support networks and other charities supporting children.
